Castle Contracting Wins Two AGCMO Safety Awards

agc awards

Castle Contracting, LLC safely self-performed 350,000 manhours in 2018. This achievement was recognized on February  21, 2019 at the 50th Annual AGC of Missouri Annual Safety Awards Banquet. On behalf of the team, Castle Safety Manager Trey Patterson accepted the Zero Recordable Accidents Safety Award (ZRASA) and the Construction Project Safety Award (CPSA) for safe performance on the Washington University East End Transformation project.

The ZRASA is presented to member firms that experienced no recordable accidents in the AGCMO charter area in 2018. The CPSA is presented to member firms that had no recordable accidents on a selected project in the AGCMO charter area for 2018. This is not achievable without the All In attitude by our project staff and field craft teams.

The CPSA is an exceptional acknowledgement for the Washington University East End Transformation team, as the site was fast-tracked with 110 trucks per day hauling out as many as 1,050 loads in two shifts for the initial mass excavation and grading package. The site was on a busy, active university campus with pedestrian and vehicular traffic as well as construction traffic for the team who was building multiple facilities simultaneously.

The achievement is the result of a steady, dedicated safety focus over the past five years by developing a genuine safety culture that makes a zero-injury work environment our top priority.
