Bayer Chesterfield Campus Utility Upgrade
St. Louis, MO
Castle fulfilled this $8.6 million, utility upgrade for the existing east and west crop and science biotechnology campuses at Bayer CropScience in Chesterfield, MO. The location houses research and development facilities, specializing in advanced solutions for farmers to improve crop yields and sustainable agriculture practices. To reinforce the integrity of these facilities’ current and future operations, we completed the underground fire and domestic water piping replacement of the east and west campuses.
This project’s scope included hydro-excavation, enabling safe and environmentally friendly digging around existing fire and water mains, expanding across 33,000 square feet. Our team’s work also included the coordination of necessary utility shutdowns, without disrupting the campus’ operations. To adhere to the project timeline, our management team efficiently solved unexpected underground challenges and managed the necessary utility locates, plumbing, fire main, electrical, landscaping, and asphalt subcontractors, further contributing to the overall success and positive client experience.
