Confidential Data Center – UNO HUB 1
Omaha, NE
In early-2024, Castle Contracting started a $1.4 million siteworks package for a confidential data center in Omaha, Nebraska. Our project team is performing extensive underground utilities and infrastructure construction for the development, which encompasses four data center buildings and spans up to 2.2 million square feet. Castle’s primary scope includes essential civil construction for the data center’s storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and fire/domestic water systems. Our project team’s work includes supplying and installing key components such as storm manholes, 54-inch sanitary manholes, drain basins, as well as six-inch and eight-inch SDR26 PVC sanitary sewers. In addition to detailed excavation, bedding, and backfilling, Castle’s team is prepared to utilize directional boring, as needed, ensuring total integration of the new utilities with the site’s existing structures.
Nebraska officials are optimistic about the development’s positive impact on Omaha’s economy and the local communities’ quality of life. By facilitating the city’s technological advancement and goal to meet increasing consumer demand, Castle’s work generates new opportunities, creates local jobs, and amplifies the city’s resilience and attractiveness as a hub for innovation.
