Omaha Central Library
Omaha, NE
Delivering on a $130,000 contract, Castle is providing essential underground utilities and infrastructure work for the main building and parking garage of the city of Omaha’s new Central Public Library project. Currently, the city’s final cost estimate for the development exceeds $100 million. Propelling the new library through its civil construction phase, our Omaha project team’s scope of work includes excavation, bedding, backfill, hoisting assistance, and compaction for storm and sanitary sewer application. In addition to hoisting assistance, Castle’s team members are also responsible for solid drain tile, grease waste piping, sand-oil interceptor, and sump pit installation.
Omaha’s vision for the new communal space is to create a modern hub of connection, growth, and innovation—where equitable access and empowering resources facilitate literacy, effective digitization, as well as community and individual development. Prioritizing efficiency and safety throughout the project lifecycle, Castle expertise directly contributes to overall success of the new Central Public Library.
